Meteor Crater

On our way to the Grand Canyon, we stopped and stayed a couple of nights in Arizona so we could visit the Meteor Crater.

This place is cool! It’s hard to believe a rock which was only 150 feet wide hit the Earth with enough force to create a crater a mile wide. I definitely recommend stopping here if you are ever in the area and checking it out.

It was also HOT – if you ever decide to visit then I recommend bringing some water, hats, and sunscreen. Especially if you visit in June like we did. We easily spent a half day here, and the cafeteria was open so we also had some sandwiches, burgers, and chicken fingers.

Some of these pictures are large panoramas – hopefully they show correctly when you click on them!
