I forget where we were camping when we went to this neat place. It’s a whole aviary dedicated to raptors. Birds of prey are always interesting, and my kids are already interested in birds in general, so this was a nice afternoon well spent.
What were not expecting when we sat down to a show-and-tell from one of the employees was an Eurasian Eagle Owl to come flying and circling over the crowd. Luckily, I caught him in flight during one of his passes. Apparently they let him roam free and he shows up for the shows (and snacks that lure him to them). Cool!
