Okay, so I do not just love tractors – I also love trains! Luckily we live pretty close to the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer. This is a fantastic place if you love trains as much as I do. Our kids used to love them, but that has waned over the last few years. My wife thinks it’s because we have been here so often – if not for just a day-trip, then for a Christmas event or one of the “Touch A Firetruck” events they hold for the kids.
On occasion my parents have gone with us and brought one of my boys’ cousins with them. While there is not a lot of things specific for kids (at least not smaller kids – adult kids are well taken care of!), they do have a few things for kids to do and there is usually not a worry about the kids breaking something on a train.
